Acupuncture during pregnancy

During pregnancy, studies have shown acupuncture to be effective for stress, morning sickness (hyperemesis) , hip and low back pain, and mild to moderate depression and anxiety. Acupuncture is an alternative health tool to some medications that can no longer be taken during pregnancy. Acupuncture can also help with labor induction and shortening the length of labor.

Acupuncture has also been proven to help turn breech babies in many cases. Here’s a link to a recent paper involving the efficacy of turning breech babies with Moxa and acupuncture: https://www.evidencebasedacupuncture.org/acupuncture-moxibustion-breech-presentation/
