I have always been interested in complementary medicine, as traditional Western methods failed to give me a holistic approach to my own health.
I believe in individualized treatment, and found that Eastern medicine provides such treatment, either as a standalone therapy or combined with Western methods. I attended AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, receiving her Masters of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. I was hired immediately after graduation to The Texas Center of Reproductive Acupuncture, where I worked closely with reproductive endocrinologists from within a fertility center, providing women and their partners with herbal formulas and acupuncture during both assisted and non-assisted fertility methods. I also opened and ran my own practice in San Antonio, Texas where I treated a broad range of health issues with acupuncture, Chinese herbal formulas and targeted supplements.
My family moved to Frederick from Texas in 2017 when my husband was transferred here with one of his last military assignments, and now we are excited to call Frederick our home. I worked at Holistic Health Associates from 2017 until 2024, further shaping my skills as an acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese herbalist, treating pain, fertility, women’s health, autoimmune issues, anxiety, neurological issues and much more.
I started Peak Acupuncture to offer a more individualized approach to one’s own health care. I want to be able to spend time with people and have an ongoing relationship where we can both work on your individual health goals as a team.
I have also completed a mentorship program focusing on fertility through ABORM. This is an additional certification beyond acupuncture licensure. ABORM is an international organization pioneering best practices in acupuncture and traditional Chinese reproductive medicine.
