Acute and Chronic Pain

Acupuncture can help your body adjust it’s own “fight-or-flight” response to acute or chronic pain–with much lower rates of side effects than pharmaceuticals and medical procedures.

Acupuncture can help ease pain for a broad range of issues, from acute issues such as sports injuries to more chronic conditions like arthritis and fibromyalgia. Acupuncture can help acute injuries heal faster by curbing inflammation in the body, thus allowing it to repair what’s necessary.

With more chronic conditions, acupuncture can both reduce pain as well as improve the range of motion of the affected area.  In both cases, acupuncture (and other modalities that I use at Peak Acupuncture such as cupping and gua sha) has substantially lower side effects than prescription pain medicine or certain medical procedures.
